A soldier out of Four Infantry Brigade got busted, allegedly moving weight, and it took a whole sting operation with detectives posing as buyers to catch him. Tatenda Luckson Munetsi, 38, sits in custody now after a Masvingo court remanded him until Tuesday, with magistrate Pauline Nyalenda presiding.
Cops apparently traced the whole thing back to a woman named Amara Tracy Choruwa, who they suspected was dealing, so they lured her to SanSiro Club pretending they wanted cocaine. She showed up, got searched, and detectives found two sachets on her right there.
Once she got pulled in for questioning, she reportedly gave up Munetsi as her supplier, and detectives used her own phone to set up a meet at Gomba shops. That's where things escalated fast, since Munetsi and his brother Ashton, 30, were sitting in a Nissan March when detectives rolled up and searched the car.
The total haul came out to 3.2 kilograms of dagga, seven grams of cocaine, and ten grams of crystal meth, adding up to roughly US$1,500 worth of product. All three, Munetsi, his brother, and Choruwa, are now facing joint charges over the bust.
