However, UPDF equalized in the 88th minute through Rashid Faridi, who lobbed Police keeper Edward Kasibante. But Maviiri quickly put Police back in front, racing onto a through ball and scoring into an empty net after a defensive error from Bernard Muwanga. The win propelled Police to second place on the table, tied with KCCA FC on 11 points.
