Maviiri's stoppage-time goal lifts Police over UPDF 2–1

Police FC secured a dramatic 2–1 win over UPDF FC at the Bombo Military Barracks, thanks to a last-minute goal from substitute Derrick Maviiri. Police had taken the lead in the 65th minute when Deus Bukenya capitalized on a rebound after UPDF goalkeeper Abdul Kimera failed to hold a header from Daniel Jakony. However, UPDF equalized in the 88th minute through Rashid Faridi, who lobbed Police keeper Edward Kasibante. But Maviiri quickly put Police back in front, racing onto a through ball and scoring into an empty net after a defensive error from Bernard Muwanga. The win propelled Police to second place on the table, tied with KCCA FC on 11 points.

Meanwhile, SC Villa continued their strong form with a 1–0 victory over Kitara FC at Kadiba Stadium. Frank Ssebufu's 66th-minute header from a Yiga Najib cross proved to be the match-winner, earning him the Man of the Match award. The result lifted SC Villa to third place with 10 points, while Kitara dropped to eighth with seven points. The Uganda Premier League continues with a top-of-the-table clash between Vipers SC and KCCA FC on Friday.
