Mbappe Advances in Recovery as He Joins Real Madrid Training Sessions

Kylian Mbappe took another step forward in his recovery from stomach illness that sidelined him from Real Madrid games. The French striker joined his first team practice after Madrid defeated Red Bull Salzburg in the Club World Cup. He ran continuously during the session and seemed happy working with teammate Eduardo Camavinga. Medical staff prevented him from training at full speed but allowed him to do more work than recent days. Mbappe participated in passing exercises and showed positive signs during ball work.

Several substitute players from the Salzburg game joined the practice session along with youth team members from Castilla. Gonzalo Garcia did not attend the training. Luka Modric, Dani Ceballos, Ibrahim Diaz and Lucas Vazquez completed light recovery work and movement exercises. The coaching staff watched each player carefully during the session.

Coach Xabi Alonso continues to monitor Mbappe's health without setting a firm date for his return to competitive matches. The team feels confident about the striker's progress toward full fitness. Mbappe has battled acute gastritis that forced him to miss important games for his new club. His gradual return to training activities signals improvement in his condition. Madrid expects their star forward to rejoin the lineup when doctors clear him for competition.
