MCSK tells the public that Ezekiel Mutua has zero authority

The music copyright board is telling everyone to stop dealing with their fired CEO. The Music Copyright Society of Kenya issued a public notice against Ezekiel Mutua. They stated he was dismissed from his role as chief executive officer. The board warned that he no longer holds any authority to act for the organization.

They expressed concern that he still presents himself as the society's leader. This misinformation has created public confusion about his status. The notice emphasized two High Court rulings that affirmed his termination. Mutua's continued claims are therefore legally baseless.

The society urged members and partners to remain vigilant. They should avoid entering into any financial commitments with Mutua. Any transactions conducted with him are considered unauthorized. The organization will not be liable for resulting losses or damages.

Mutua previously served as the head of the film classification board. His appointment to the music society followed a competitive recruitment process. The current board has made clear that his removal is definitive and final. They aim to prevent further misrepresentation to the public.
