Mega Paint Frenzy Hits St Petersburg For Victory Day

Workers will update road markings on 1094 streets across St. Petersburg. The city plans to freshen up markings where Victory Day celebrations happen before May 9.

The transport committee has already started work at several locations. They need to make new markings and fix others under warranty agreements. For 2025, crews will reapply over 105 thousand square meters of markings and add 686 thousand square meters of new ones.

Beyond Victory Day areas, the city will update markings near places hosting major events. These include the International Legal Forum, City Day celebrations, the Economic Forum, and Navy Day festivities.

Road crews use white, yellow, and blue markings made from Russian-produced plastic materials. The updates come as the city prepares to mark the 80th anniversary of Victory Day.
