St Petersburg shutting roads for Victory Parade

St Petersburg drivers need to plan for road changes starting April 22. The city transport office announced closures related to Victory Parade preparations in two phases. The first restrictions run April 22-24, with more coming April 30 through May 9. During phase one, cars cannot park on Malaya Morskaya Street near St Isaac's Cathedral or on even-numbered sides of both Konnogvardeisky Boulevard and Yakubovich Street.

Phase two adds more limitations, including no stopping areas along the Moika River embankment, Millionnaya Street, sections of Malaya Morskaya Street, Konnogvardeisky Boulevard, Palace Square access roads, and other streets. Traffic shuts down completely between 2:00 pm and 6:30 pm on both April 30 and May 3. These full closures affect Millionnaya Street, parts of the Moika River embankment, areas around Palace Square blocks 4 and 6-8, the Winter Canal embankment, the Admiralty embankment, the Palace embankment, and a section of Nevsky Prospekt.
