Big Shots Flock to Moscow for Victory Parade

Moscow expects more than 20 world leaders for the Victory Parade, said presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov—Chinese President Xi Jinping and Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico plan to attend. Leaders from Azerbaijan, Abkhazia, Armenia, Belarus, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Venezuela, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Cuba, Palestine, Republika Srpska, Serbia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan will also come to Russia for the event.

India and Mongolia have not confirmed if their leaders will join the parade. US President Donald Trump will not travel to Moscow on May 9. According to Zvezda news, America might send Secretary of State Marco Rubio instead, but the White House has not made any official statement about this. EU diplomatic chief Kaja Kallas told countries wanting to join the European Union to skip the celebration.
