Mehazabien and Alisan hunted for Amirul cash

A Dhaka magistrate has ordered the detention of actress Mehazabien Chowdhury and her sibling Alisan Chowdhury after they ignored a court summons related to accusations of financial misconduct and threats. Executive Magistrate Afroza Tania issued the warrants following their absence from proceedings, with authorities required to report on enforcement efforts by mid-December.

Complainant Amirul Islam alleges the actress solicited 2.7 million taka for a purported business partnership through multiple cash and digital transfers, but the venture never materialized. Efforts to recover the funds were allegedly met with delays and evasion.

Islam further claims the siblings and several associates confronted him at a Hatirjheel restaurant, where they delivered profane warnings against seeking repayment and threatened violence if he approached their residence. After police advised pursuing judicial recourse, he filed charges under criminal procedure statutes addressing such disputes.
