Mercurial Audio released version 1.7.0 of Ampbox on Thursday, featuring a new bass amplifier module and distortion pedal. The BST-7 amp module replicates the Ampeg SVT-7 Pro bass amplifier using SPICE modeling technology and is available for $49.99 as a 10-day introductory offer for new customers.
The company also added the A-Mega bass distortion pedal module at no cost. The pedal design is inspired by the Darkglass Alpha-Omega and employs the same SPICE modeling approach as the amplifier.
Mercuriall Audio cut prices by 33 percent on all existing amplifier models as part of a Halloween promotion. The sale runs concurrent with the new module launch period.
