Microsoft Photos AI hijacks Copilot PCs

Microsoft released a Photos app update through its digital store. The application works with Copilot+ computers that have neural processors from Intel, AMD or Qualcomm. Artificial intelligence sorts pictures into categories like screenshots, receipts, documents, and handwritten notes. The system recognizes foreign languages, and users can search with keywords.

A super-resolution feature upscales low-quality images by restoring lost detail. The tool helps with older photos, compressed files, or pictures from basic cameras. Processing happens on the device instead of through cloud servers. These capabilities require Copilot+ hardware with neural processing units.
