Midlands set to celebrate with independence flame

Zimbabwe prepares to celebrate its 45th Independence Day with a special ceremonial flame. The Independence Flame started its journey from Harare's Museum of Human Sciences. National Museum and Monuments officials carefully transported the symbolic fire across the Midlands Province. Roadshow trucks and police escorts accompanied the flame's meaningful trek. Each stop marks a significant moment in Zimbabwe's liberation history.

Vice President Constantino Chiwenga will officially present the flame to the Midlands Province. The flame has traveled through multiple districts, including Mberengwa, Zvishavane, and Shurugwi. Communities along the route can witness and celebrate their national heritage. Different towns will host the flame at specific locations. Residents eagerly await the flame's arrival.

The Independence Day celebrations will happen in Gokwe under the theme "Zim@45: Devolve and Develop Together towards Vision 2030". Government officials see the flame as a powerful symbol of national struggle and unity. The journey represents sacrifices made during Zimbabwe's liberation. People can connect with their historical roots through these commemorations. The flame serves as a beacon of hope for future generations.

Various government leaders will participate in flame-lighting ceremonies. Vice President Kembo Mohadi will reignite the flame at the Sikhombela detention camp. President Emmerson Mnangagwa will officiate the main Independence Day event. The flame travels through significant historical locations. Each stop tells a part of Zimbabwe's liberation story.
