Milind Soman says OTT gave 90s stars a second shot

Milind Soman says the whole industry got flipped by streaming. The actor pointed to OTT platforms creating way more content, which finally gives veteran performers from the nineties a real shot again. He mentioned this at a Zydus Pinkathon event, arguing that experienced actors are now landing roles and crushing them because they simply know how to act. He called it a good time with opportunities everywhere.

Soman himself has hopped on the trend with parts in shows like Paurashpur, where he played Boris, and Four More Shots Please as Dr. Aamir Warsi. He named actors like Bobby Deol, who found new life in streaming projects such as Aashram and Class of 83 after a rough patch, as prime examples. Akshaye Khanna also fits the bill, with his praised performance in the recent film Dhurandhar, showing how the landscape has shifted. The internet era, according to Soman, just means more entertainment is getting made, which naturally opens doors for that older generation to show what they can do.
