Minisforum Ryzen 9 Fire Range Gear Cranks Up Fury

Minisforum showed off new AMD Ryzen products at the Japan IT Spring Week. The company plans to release items with Fire Range chips in the next few months.

The F1FGM motherboard is mATX in size with full heatsinks. It can hold a Ryzen 9 9955HX chip with 16 cores and 32 threads based on a Zen 5 design. This chip runs at 5.4 GHz top speed with 64 MB cache. Users can boost power from 55W to 160W for better performance. The board has four DDR5 memory slots that fit up to 256 GB of RAM. It offers PCIe 5.0 slots, USB4 ports, a 5 GbE network connection, and Wi-Fi 7.

The MS-A2 Mini PC also uses Fire Range CPUs. It improves on the earlier MS-A1 series that had Ryzen 8000G chips. This small computer has three M.2 storage slots, 10 GbE networking through SFP+, and space for a small graphics card. It can hold up to 96 GB of memory at 5200 MT/s speeds.

Minisforum also created the N5 PRO NAS with an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 CPU. This storage system has five bays for hard drives, each able to fit 22 TB. Users can set up RAID arrays and change drives without tools. The system supports 48 GB of memory and has 10 GbE and 5 GbE network connections for fast data transfer.
