MINIX shoves AMD's new Ryzen AI chips into another tiny black box

MINIX released two compact computers powered by AMD Strix Point processors. The ER937-AI model features a Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 chip with twelve cores and twenty-four threads. The ER936-AI variant contains a Ryzen AI 9 365 processor with ten cores and twenty threads. Both systems deliver artificial intelligence performance through dedicated NPU engines. The flagship model provides 80 TOPS while the secondary unit offers 73 TOPS.

Each computer uses vapor chamber cooling technology with dual fans for thermal management. The ER937-AI supports tri-band WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity. The ER936-AI offers WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 wireless capabilities. Both models feature dual 2.5G Ethernet ports for wired connections. Memory configurations start at 32GB DDR5-5600 with 1TB PCIe 4.0 storage.

The company offers pre-order discounts of $130 for the ER937-AI and $110 for the ER936-AI. Users can expand memory to 96GB and storage to 8TB. Both systems support Windows Hello fingerprint authentication for security.
