Mnangagwa Appoints Ndlovu and Nguluvhe to Ministerial Posts

The President shuffled his team yesterday! Dr Evelyn Ndlovu will take over as Environment, Climate, and Wildlife Minister effective immediately. Albert Nguluvhe will step into her old job as Minister of State for Matabeleland South Provincial Affairs and Devolution. These changes happened after Dr Sithembiso Nyoni left the environment post about two weeks ago.

Dr Martin Rushwaya, Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet, announced both appointments, citing Section 104 of the Constitution. Dr Ndlovu brings political experience to her new role after previously serving as Primary and Secondary Education Minister. Before this promotion, she had been handling Matabeleland South affairs since 2023.

Nguluvhe represents Beitbridge East in Parliament after first winning that seat during the 2018 elections. He became chairperson of the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Defence, Home Affairs, Veterans of the Liberation Struggle, and Security last October. The appointments mark another adjustment to President Mnangagwa's government team as he continues reshaping his cabinet for current challenges.
