Mnangagwa birthday bash grips Zvishavane youth, Muswere lauds empire

Tomorrow marks Munhumutapa Day celebrations in Zvishavane as President Mnangagwa turns 83 years old. Information Minister Jenfan Muswere describes the president as a statesman and visionary dedicated to Zimbabwe's prosperity. The event will address youth empowerment while confronting drug and substance abuse threats facing young people. Over 30,000 attendees from across the country will gather for the Zanu-PF Youth League initiative. Officials plan to link the historical achievements of the Mutapa Empire with current national progress under presidential leadership.

Midlands Provincial Affairs Minister Owen Ncube announced the commissioning of new residential flats worth 29 million dollars during the commemoration. The development will house 1,000 families and represents a significant infrastructure advancement in the region. Youth delegates will celebrate empowerment programs spanning business units, agricultural mechanization, and livestock schemes across ten provinces. The rotating annual event previously took place in Masvingo province during its inaugural year. A half-marathon at Vugwi Business Centre will precede the main celebrations.
