Mnangagwa Goes All Out Praising Lungu

Zimbabwe President Mnangagwa sent sympathy messages to Zambian President Hichilema after former Zambian leader Edgar Lungu died. Lungu passed away June 5 at age 68 after serving as Zambia's sixth president from 2015 to 2021. Mnangagwa called Lungu a dedicated public servant who helped both countries work together. The Zimbabwean leader praised Lungu's humble character and strong leadership during his time as president. Regional cooperation between the two nations grew stronger under Lungu's guidance.

Mnangagwa expressed deep sadness about losing such an important African leader. He spoke for Zimbabwe's government and citizens when offering comfort to the Lungu family. The president highlighted how Lungu strengthened friendship between Zimbabwe and Zambia through shared history and common goals. Lungu focused on building roads and bridges during his presidency across Zambia. He also worked hard to improve relationships between Southern African countries through diplomatic efforts.
