Mnangagwa vows sanctions will fall as SADC unites in Mutare

President Emmerson Mnangagwa told delegates at the 22nd ZANU-PF Annual People's Conference that Western sanctions against Zimbabwe are weakening through regional cooperation. The Southern African Development Community will mark Anti-Sanctions Day on Oct. 25 to protest measures that affect the entire region. ZANU-PF Women's League Secretary for External Affairs Betty Kaseke said women endure severe consequences when medical supplies decrease, and food costs rise.

Mnangagwa stated that combined regional efforts will dismantle sanctions and coercive measures through unity. Zimbabwe officials described the sanctions as punishment for land redistribution policies rather than responses to legitimate concerns. The Second Republic's engagement strategy has persuaded some nations to remove restrictions. Citizens Against Economic Sanctions and government officials are continuing their mobilization efforts ahead of the regional observance.
