Modartt has released Airteq, a physical-modeling instrument built around configurable virtual pipes rather than copies of existing hardware. Up to five pipes can run inside one patch, giving composers and sound designers room to build acoustic, electronic, and hybrid tones from modeled airflow and resonance.
