Modder Naga already fixing Nintendo's flawed Switch 2 battery

A hardware modder known as Naga has successfully replaced the Nintendo Switch 2's standard 5,220 mAh battery with an 8,000 mAh unit. The modification demonstrates the system's potential for extended gaming sessions through aftermarket upgrades. Naga previously enhanced the original Switch with additional RAM, which improved performance in demanding titles like Zelda games. The modified console achieved higher resolutions and frame rates compared to unmodified systems. The new battery installation video shows the console functioning properly after the upgrade process.

The Switch 2 faces criticism for several hardware limitations that disappoint users. Battery performance represents one significant weakness that affects portable gaming experiences. The display technology also presents problems with reduced motion quality compared to the original Switch model. HDR functionality falls short of expectations for modern gaming standards. Despite these shortcomings, the Switch 2 surpasses its predecessor in most other technical specifications and gaming capabilities.
