- Narendra Modi is inaugurating and laying foundation stones for projects worth over Rs 2,700 crore in Puducherry.
- A 750-acre Karasur-Sedarapet Industrial Estate is being dedicated to the nation.
- The estate will house a Pharma Park, Textile Park, IT Park, an IIT Madras R&D centre, and JIPMER healthcare facilities.
- Four-laning of the Marakkanam-Puducherry section of NH-332A is also getting a foundation-stone moment.
- The Marakkanam-Puducherry NH-332A four-laning will cut travel time by nearly 50 per cent.
- That's roughly a drop from one hour down to about 30 minutes for commuters.
- The Paramakudi-Ramanathapuram section of NH-87 is also getting the four-laning treatment.
- Projects worth over Rs 4,400 crore are being launched at a public meeting in Madurai.
- Eight railway stations are getting redeveloped under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
- Pollachi Junction, Karaikkudi Junction, Thiruvarur Junction, and Sholavandan are among the redeveloped stations.
- Modi is also scheduled to offer prayers at Arulmigu Subramaniyaswamy Temple in Tirupparankundram around 4 p.m.
