Mohsin Naqvi explodes at coup rumors as Zardari and army chief face online frenzy

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi slammed wild rumors flying around about President Asif Ali Zardari quitting his job. The top government official fired back at gossip claiming Army Chief General Asim Munir wants to grab the presidency. Naqvi posted angry messages on social media calling the stories a nasty attack campaign. He said the rumors target President Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the military boss. The minister made clear that nobody ever talked about Zardari stepping down from his position.

Naqvi defended the army chief and said he has zero interest in becoming president. The interior minister praised the good relationship between Zardari and military leaders. He stressed that General Munir only cares about making Pakistan better and more stable. The government official warned the rumor spreaders that authorities know exactly who they are. He even suggested that enemy countries might be helping spread the fake stories.

The Pakistan Peoples Party already shot down these same rumors before Naqvi spoke out. Party leaders reminded everyone that Zardari won the presidency fair and square through proper elections. The PPP keeps supporting the federal government and backs up Shehbaz Sharif as prime minister. Social media users have been spreading wild theories about major political changes coming. Government officials keep fighting back against the false information campaigns targeting top leaders.
