Monday power cuts hit Parklands Kisii and Kiambu areas

Kenya Power will cut electricity to many areas on Monday across three counties. The power company told customers about the planned outages that will last eight hours. Maintenance work forces the shutdowns from nine in the morning until five at night. People living around Nairobi, Kisii and Kiambu need to prepare for the blackouts.

Parklands residents will lose power during the maintenance period. Legal Plaza and parts of Limuru Road will go dark for the day. Workers will also switch off electricity to 6th Parklands Avenue and Ita Road. People living near these streets should expect no power service.

Kisii County faces the biggest impact from Monday's planned cuts. Dozens of towns and villages will have no electricity all day. Nyamache, Kiamokama, Ibacho and Gesusu are among the affected places. Many other communities like Masimba, Borangi and Maji Mazuri will also lose power. Rural areas around these towns will experience the same blackouts.

Kiambu County residents near tea factories will face power cuts on Monday. Matara Tea Factory and surrounding areas will have no electricity during working hours. Schools like Karinga Girls and markets such as Kanyoni will shut down temporarily. Villages around Thuraku and Gakunyi must also prepare for the outage.

The utility company warned customers to plan ahead for Monday's power interruptions. Essential services may close during the eight-hour blackout period.
