Moscow Partners with Skoltech to Integrate AI in Urban Planning

Moscow teams up with a smart tech school to bring computer brains into city building. Leaders from both groups shook hands on the deal during a major business meeting in St. Petersburg. The partnership will help robots think through building plans and make construction work faster.

Deputy Mayor Vladimir Efimov says the deal covers computer modeling and automatic design work. Smart machines will help city workers make better choices about new buildings. The technology should make everything clearer and help people trust the system more.

Moscow already runs a special center that studies how computers can help build cities. The center started working last year and has made six different computer programs. One program called Kvartirography can draw up apartment layouts all by itself without human help.

Another computer program checks building papers twice as fast as people can. City leaders want to make more programs that can spot mistakes in construction documents. The smart machines will compare building plans against city rules automatically.

The tech school brings lots of experience with smart computer programs. School officials say they love working on real problems that help cities run better. Moscow already uses about 100 different computer brain projects across the city.
