Mouka exec bags branding icon award for people-first playbook

Some exec just bagged a top marketing award for making a foam brand actually cool. Oladimeji Osingunwa, the Chief Commercial Officer at bedding company Mouka, part of the Dolidol International Group, won the Creative and Branding Icon Award for 2025. The honor came from the organizers of the Brand Handlers Summit, Marketing Space magazine, after review by industry judges who cited the originality and measurable impact of his work on brand growth and customer engagement.

His career path includes major stints at companies like Cadbury Nigeria and SC Johnson, where he was known for driving strong business growth through strategic brand building. This latest award adds to a shelf that already holds titles like Marketing Icon of the Year from 2018. His approach is described as people-centered, a philosophy shaped by his upbringing in Ketu, Lagos State, and Ilishan Remo in Ogun State.

Osingunwa’s educational background mixes a Statistics foundation from Yaba College of Technology with an MBA from Lagos State University and executive courses at Lagos Business School, and he is currently pursuing a doctorate. He is also a fellow of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria. The award recognition underscores his role in strengthening the Mouka brand’s market position and reflects a broader career impact on multiple brands within the Nigerian market.
