MP Kaluma Demands Action After Pastor Ng’ang’a Slaps Man

Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma wants people who have faced assault from Apostle James Ng'ang'a to come forward. He asked victims to visit police stations or contact him directly. The lawmaker also urged the Registrar of Societies to address the situation before it worsens. His comments follow a viral video showing the Neno Evangelism leader slapping a church member twice.

The footage captures Ng'ang'a approaching a man sleeping during service. After hitting him, he orders the congregant to move to the back rows. The preacher questions a woman sitting nearby about why she let her neighbor sleep. She responds that she was paying attention to the sermon instead. Ng'ang'a initially tells her to leave her seat as well but changes his mind when she says everyone must deal with their problems.

The church leader returns to his pulpit, complaining he cannot preach passionately with people dozing off in the front seats. The recording date remains unclear but has spread widely across social media. Kaluma appears concerned about similar incidents happening to other church attendees under Ng'ang'a's leadership.
