Mpokosa decries Zomba's visionless, self enriching leaders

Chikondi Lisimba Mpokosa addressed traditional leaders at Lufani Primary School to present her campaign platform for the September 16 parliamentary elections. The National Development Party candidate for Zomba Malosa constituency outlined plans for constructing educational facilities, healthcare centers, and programs supporting women and youth. Mpokosa promised to secure adequate medical supplies for local health facilities and establish clean water access for residents. She proposed irrigation systems to enable three annual harvests and improve food security across the region. The NDP vice president pledged affordable fertilizer through reduced pricing and domestic production.

Mpokosa serves as Frank Mwenifumbo's running mate for the presidential race and urged voters to support their ticket. She criticized current leadership for lacking vision and prioritizing personal wealth over national development. The candidate argued that economic progress requires leaders committed to addressing poverty and hunger. Youth participant Chrissy Mbirintengerenji expressed support for Mpokosa's development agenda during the gathering. She encouraged young people to attend political events and evaluate candidates' proposals before making voting decisions.
