MTN backs Africa Economic Governance School to train public leaders

MTN Group helped pay for a special school that teaches government workers from three African countries. Officials from Ghana, South Africa and Kenya came to Accra for one week of classes. Three government schools worked together to create this program. The schools want to make public sector leaders stronger and help Africa grow economically. Politicians and top government workers learned from each other during the training.

The group visited the office that manages trade deals across Africa. MTN leaders believe Africa needs strong people and good organizations to succeed. The company thinks everyone should benefit from modern technology and connection. Good training helps government workers make better choices for their countries. These decisions create fairer and stronger nations for everyone.

The training happened during MTN's special community care program. Students also went to see a center that teaches young people job skills. MTN Ghana workers helped with that center. The phone company wants to help Africa move forward through better leadership. MTN bosses talked about phones, computers and artificial intelligence during the classes.

Three MTN executives joined discussions about technology and government. They talked about making government services digital and using computers to help countries work better. South Africa's deputy minister said the school gives leaders a chance to talk about hard government problems. The school director praised MTN for helping and working with different groups to make the program successful.
