FDH Financial Opens Mpinganjira Centre to Build New Leaders

FDH Financial Holdings opened a new leadership training center in Blantyre to develop business leaders across southern Africa. The company built the Thomson Frank Mpinganjira Centre of Excellence in Mpemba after starting construction in 2022. Company officials named the facility after their former chief executive who founded the business group. The multi-billion kwacha project will help train workers from government offices and private companies. FDH wants to create better managers who can boost economic growth throughout Malawi.

Levie Nkunika handles marketing communications for the financial services company. He said the center will train FDH employees and outside clients from small businesses to large corporations. The facility features modern conference rooms and training spaces with advanced technology equipment. High-speed internet and comfortable furniture help create better learning environments for students. Custom room setups allow different types of meetings and educational programs.

The center partners with professors from top universities around the world to create leadership courses. Programs target middle managers and senior executives who need advanced business skills. These training sessions should strengthen local companies and make them more competitive globally. The facility serves as another branch of FDH alongside their banking and property management divisions. Leaders expect the center will improve workforce quality and support national economic development goals.
