MTN Uganda unveils inclusive ICT lab for special needs students in Arua City

MTN Uganda established a specialized technology center at Mvara Secondary School within Arua City boundaries. The facility accommodates more than 100 students who require additional learning support through adaptive technologies. Ten desktop computers form the foundation of the laboratory alongside specialized screen-reading software and wireless audio equipment. Students will receive complimentary internet connectivity for twelve months following the facility launch.

Philip Odoi from MTN's Northern Uganda commercial division described the laboratory as an empowerment tool for learners regardless of physical limitations. Annet Dilea represents the Special Needs Education department and praised the initiative as promoting equal access to learning resources. Asiku Geoffrey, City Education Officer, emphasized how technology creates space for every student in modern digital environments. Sense International Uganda collaborated with local education officials to bring this project to completion. MTN Uganda continues expanding programs that remove barriers to technology access across diverse student populations.
