Church Opens Epic Sunday School for Special Needs Kids

The Makers House Chapel International opened a Sunday School room for children with special needs. This marks the first time a Ghanaian church has created such a space. The room has soft lights, textured walls, and trained teachers who help kids with autism, ADHD, and Down syndrome. Parents who once stayed home can attend church without worry about their children fitting in.

Dr Michael Boadi Nyamekye started this project to welcome all families. Teachers learn from experts about working with different children. The calm space helps kids who need breaks during lessons. Some parents cried with joy seeing their children happy at church. Eunice Nartey said she feels her family belongs there after years of anxiety.

The church aims to change how people see children with disabilities. It teaches these children as future church leaders rather than just watching them. Other churches have asked how they can build similar rooms. The special needs area sits inside a larger new children's space. Parents like Kwame Appiah notice the care put into making every child feel important.
