Chippie Academy won the Kondwani Nankhumwa football tournament at Chisitu Primary School on June 1st. Blessings Phiri scored the winning goal against Celtic FC during the final match. The winners received 1.1 million Kwacha prize money and new team uniforms. Celtic FC earned 800,000 Kwacha as second place finishers. The total tournament prize fund reached 15 million Kwacha for all teams.
Lube Masters Sisters beat Chinakanaka Happy Queens 23-20 during the netball championship game. The netball winners collected 800,000 Kwacha and trophies for their victory. Happy Queens took home 600,000 Kwacha as runners up. Both teams played hard matches throughout the competition days. Female athletes showed strong skills during all netball games.
