Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen straight up dismissed claims by DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua about drug barons serving in the Cabinet. Murkomen stated all cabinet secretaries underwent strict vetting, arguing any proven allegations would have barred them from office. He labeled the assertions unfounded political gimmicks meant to stir controversy.
Murkomen also accused the former deputy president of viewing every issue through a tribal lens. He suggested this bias distorts Gachagua's perspective on national matters like education and substance abuse.
