Mushfiqur Rahim trains early before 100th Test

Veteran wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim arrived at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium for a private training session after Bangladesh completed their Test victory against Ireland ahead of schedule. The 38-year-old coordinated with ground staff while still in Sylhet to ensure nets and facilities met his requirements before traveling to Dhaka. He will become the first Bangladeshi player to reach 100 Test appearances when the second match begins at Mirpur.

Bangladesh Cricket Board officials confirmed preparations for a formal tribute, including a commemorative crest and blazer presentation, with family members invited to attend ceremonies surrounding the historic milestone. The board plans to incorporate imagery from the nation's 100th Test appearance in Colombo, where Rahim captained the team to victory over Sri Lanka.

Supporters have organized their own recognition effort with a fan group designing special shirts featuring the number 100 for the occasion at the venue where Bangladesh seeks a series sweep.
