Myanmar U22 chases glory, young squad ready to shine

Myanmar's under-22 squad jetted off to Thailand to compete in the football tournament at the upcoming SEA Games. Team administrator Soe Myat Min said the group has been grinding since March with friendly matches and tournament prep under head coach Kurosaki. The roster has 23 players plus 13 staff members, and they're hitting up a three-day training camp in Chiang Mai before their opener against the Philippines.

The team landed in Group C with the Philippines and Indonesia. Myanmar faces the Philippines first, and then wraps up group play against Indonesia. Soe Myat Min mentioned the competition got split into three groups this year instead of two, so nobody's taking any opponent lightly. The squad is locked in on reaching the semifinals and bringing home some hardware for the country. He's hyped about the young players' mental game and wants fans back home to keep the support coming strong.
