Nandi-Ndaitwah names Haufiku chief of protocol

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah appointed Ambassador Bonny Haufiku as chief of protocol at State House, effective Nov. 1. The Presidency said Haufiku brings more than two decades of diplomatic service and experience in international relations, bilateral cooperation and multilateral engagement.

Haufiku has served Namibia in several roles within the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation and at missions abroad. As chief of protocol, he will advise the president and the Presidency on protocol matters and oversee diplomatic etiquette and coordination for official engagements, state visits and international events. The appointment signals a push to strengthen Namibia’s diplomatic presence and uphold a reputation for professionalism and excellence in foreign affairs. The Presidency congratulated Haufiku and wished him success in the role.
