Netflix presented its forthcoming series Operation Safed Sagar during the first Sekhon Indian Air Force Marathon 2025 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday. Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh joined serving personnel, veterans, and thousands of civilians at the event celebrating military aviation. The streaming platform's announcement coincided with 46 simultaneous running events held nationwide.

The series dramatizes the air force contribution during the Kargil War and features actors Siddharth, Jimmy Shergill, Abhay Verma, Mihir Ahuja, Taaruk Raina and Arnav Bhasin. Matchbox Shots and Feel-Good Films produced the project with cooperation from military officials. Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh praised the 12,000 marathon participants and congratulated the streaming service on its production about high-altitude combat operations.

Monika Shergill, content vice president for the Indian division, described the program as depicting bravery and national devotion beyond battlefield action. Production teams filmed extensively at active air bases across the country. The series will become available for streaming in 2026.
