Never Bonde storms Bulawayo, plots 500 000 tree blitz at Ross Camp

Never Bonde initiated a comprehensive environmental project targeting 500,000 tree plantings throughout Bulawayo before 2030. The National Tree Ambassador program began at Ross Camp Police Station with a ceremony attended by various officials and stakeholders. Participants planted ten trees during the launch event, with five receiving ceremonial names honoring local leaders and contributors. The "Growing Together" campaign addresses the impacts of climate change while creating sustainable urban landscapes across the metropolitan area.

Businessman Herbert Mutize provided financial backing for the environmental venture after observing Bonde's organizational achievements. The initiative extends beyond simple planting to encompass the removal of dangerous or overgrown vegetation from public spaces and educational facilities. Government representatives expressed strong support for the environmental agenda, emphasizing the importance of community participation and the long-term benefits. Young citizens receive special encouragement to participate as future environmental stewards. Officials anticipate that widespread community engagement will ensure the ambitious reforestation goals become a reality within the designated timeframe.
