Ngarava and Bennett roar back as Zimbabwe targets T20 tri-series cricket glory

Zimbabwe cricket bosses have brought back two injured stars just before their big home tournament. Richard Ngarava returns after fixing his sore back that kept him out of the England tour in May. Brian Bennett also makes his comeback after getting knocked out by a cricket ball to the head during the South Africa Test series. Both players missed crucial matches but doctors have cleared them to play again. The timing could not be better for Zimbabwe as they prepare to face tough opponents.

Captain Sikandar Raza will lead a 16-man squad when the Tri-Series kicks off Monday at Harare Sports Club. The team mixes veteran players like Ryan Burl and Tony Munyonga with fresh faces hoping to make their mark. Three newcomers get their first chance to represent Zimbabwe in the shortest format of cricket. Wicketkeeper Tafadzwa Tsiga, fast bowler Newman Nyamhuri and spinner Vincent Masekesa will try to impress selectors and fans.

Zimbabwe starts their campaign against South Africa on July 14 before taking on New Zealand four days later. The round robin tournament continues with another South Africa clash on July 20 and wraps up against New Zealand on July 24. The top two teams will battle for the trophy on July 26. Zimbabwe hopes their returning stars can help them reach the final against cricket powerhouses South Africa and New Zealand.
