Nigeria Floods Claim Over 100 Lives in Horror Deluge

Heavy rains killed at least 110 people across central Nigeria during recent storms. The Niger State Emergency Management Agency confirmed the death count after floods hit multiple communities. Rushing water destroyed more than 50 homes with families still inside at Mokwa town. Emergency officials said the storms lasted several hours before stopping. The Tiffin Maza and Anguwan Hausawa areas suffered the worst damage.

Government leaders expressed deep sadness about the disaster and ordered rescue teams to help survivors. Security forces and emergency workers continue searching for missing people throughout the affected regions. The local district chief said his community had not seen such terrible flooding for 60 years. He asked government officials to send aid and support to rebuild damaged areas. Many families lost everything and need immediate assistance.

One fisherman told reporters his house collapsed completely during the floods. He has no place to sleep and lost all his belongings when the water rose. Rescue operations continue as more people remain trapped or missing across the region. Authorities warn that many residents still face danger from rising water levels. Nigeria experiences annual flooding during rainy months from April through October each year.
