Nigeria Nails Fraudsters in 11B Scam Battle

Nigeria defeated a company that tried to steal $11 billion through court fraud. Process and Industrial Developments Limited lost their fake lawsuit against the African nation. A UK judge ruled that P&ID must pay Nigeria money instead of taking it. The scam company has already returned $200 million and paid $10 million for legal fees. President Tinubu refused to give fraudsters any settlement money.

P&ID claimed Nigeria damaged their gas processing business deal. The company demanded huge payments for their supposed losses. P&ID never bought land for their project or built any facilities. Court evidence showed the company paid bribes and used false documents. Judges discovered P&ID had lied about their entire operation.

Nigerian attorneys proved the lawsuit was completely fraudulent. Legal experts called the victory historic for developing nations. Some advisors pushed Nigeria to settle the case quietly. Government leaders rejected all compromise offers from the criminals. This court win sends a strong message that Nigeria will battle investment scammers.
