Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar distributed Rs 2,500 crore to 25 lakh women on Friday through direct benefit transfer under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rozgar Yojana. Each recipient received Rs 10,000 in financial assistance for self-employment ventures. Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha attended the ceremony. Women in the Begusarai district received the funds and shared plans to establish various businesses.
Recipients stated they would purchase sewing machines for tailoring work, open grocery stores, or invest in animal husbandry. The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the state government for the support. The assistance will help establish and expand their enterprises. Women said the funds would enable them to pursue ventures and improve family economic conditions.
