Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has appointed Obi Aguocha, a member of the House of Representatives representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency, to engage with the Nigerian government on his behalf.
This appointment was confirmed in a letter signed by Kanu's Lead Counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, addressed to Aguocha. The letter, titled “RE: Letter of Authority to Interface With The Federal Government on Behalf of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu,” grants Aguocha authority to address Kanu’s ongoing detention and prosecution.
The letter further specifies that Aguocha should seek political solutions and work toward ending Kanu's trial, while coordinating closely with Kanu's legal team.
