Local authorities need N$500 million to fix roads damaged by recent rains. Twenty local councils have asked for this money from the Road Fund Administration, but RFA head Ali Ipinge says they cannot provide extra cash. He urged councils to focus on filling potholes instead of building new roads.

Ondangwa Town Council uses its current maintenance budget for road fixes but hasn't determined the total damage costs. Their repair work should take about two months since it's handled internally.
