Noida STF nabs Harsh Vardhan Jain for fake embassy scam in Ghaziabad

The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force discovered a fraudulent embassy operating from a rented bungalow in Ghaziabad's Kavi Nagar area on Wednesday. Officers arrested Harsh Vardhan Jain, the alleged mastermind behind the elaborate scheme. The suspect posed as an ambassador representing fictional micronations such as West Arctica, Saborga, Poulvia, and Lodonia. High-end vehicles with counterfeit diplomatic number plates were parked outside the premises to create legitimacy. Jain used doctored photographs with prominent leaders and forged documents to deceive victims.

The investigation revealed that Jain's operation extended beyond his fake diplomatic status. He promised overseas business opportunities and employment abroad to con individuals and companies. Authorities suspect he managed a hawala network through shell companies for illegal transactions. The raid yielded four luxury cars with fake plates, twelve counterfeit diplomatic passports, and Rs 44.7 lakh in cash. Police registered a new case at Kavi Nagar station as investigations continue.
