At the same event, Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu promised a new vehicle for the Savannah College of Education. He said every region should have its public university. The Regional Minister, Salifu Be-Awuribe, talked about updating the Gonja Kingdom rules from 1930. These changes would help traditional leaders work better with modern government systems.
