North West, Gauteng advance cross-boundary solutions

North West Premier Lazarus Kagiso Mokgosi and Gauteng Acting Premier Lebogang Maile have convened a joint executive council session to advance the resolution of interprovincial administrative complications affecting service delivery and economic development across shared jurisdictions. Provincial workstreams presented consolidated findings on challenges, including asset transfers between territories, industrial park revitalization strategies, municipal service coordination, and operational difficulties at North West Transport Investments serving Gauteng residents.

Leadership from both administrations authorized departmental heads to expedite the implementation of mutually approved measures while developing final proposals for unresolved items. The collaboration addresses property transfers where facilities funded by one province operate within another's borders, alongside investment models designed to restore viability to industrial zones.

Officials from the neighboring provinces are committed to sustained intergovernmental cooperation through scheduled follow-up discussions and ongoing engagement, emphasizing constitutional mandates for collaborative governance benefiting communities affected by boundary overlaps.
