Novation Play murders mouse clicks with free synth

Novation has launched Novation Play as a free virtual instrument for customers who own Launchkey MK4 keyboard controllers. The software features more than 80 presets built from samples of hardware synthesizers such as the Novation Bass Station II and Sequential Prophet 5. Swedish developer Klevgrand collaborated with Novation to create the plug-in with controls mapped to the Launchkey hardware for operation without a mouse. The drum pads activate four effects while the encoder bank buttons handle preset selection, and the instrument offers delay and reverb alongside a single-knob compressor.
