NTSA flags fake site scam, Kenyans warned to steer clear

NTSA is warning people about a fake website called Mverified that's been scamming Kenyans who need vehicle documents. The authority said the site doesn't belong to them, and they're telling anyone who got hit to file a police report since multiple people probably already lost cash.

The real deal for getting motor vehicle records goes through the official eCitizen platform at serviceportal.ntsa.go.ke for 550 shillings, and the document downloads instantly after payment. Scammers have been exploiting people rushing to get paperwork by setting up lookalike sites with different fees or sketchy payment redirects.

NTSA is pushing everyone to double-check website addresses and stick to official government portals when handling vehicle services.
