Nvidia adds RTX PRO 5500 Blackwell with 84GB GDDR7

Nvidia RTX PRO 5500 Blackwell brings a CUDA count of 21,760 and 84GB of GDDR7 to workstation users. That core tally matches the GeForce RTX 5090, RTX 5090 D, and RTX 5090 D v2. Nvidia is targeting big-model inference, rendering, and data-heavy jobs that can run past consumer VRAM limits.

Cooling has two routes: active air or liquid. Boost clocks, TDP, and bus details remain unknown, while the memory setup points toward a 384-bit or wider GDDR7 interface with denser chips than gaming cards use. Nvidia RTX Enterprise drivers keep the card in the pro workstation camp rather than the data-center stack.

And pricing stays unknown. The card enters a market dealing with tight premium-memory supply and rising interest in local LLM work on one GPU. No third-party tests yet. Sustained clocks and mixed AI and rendering results still need verification against the RTX 5090 and Nvidia data-center Blackwell hardware.
